Springtime Plant Walks
Upcoming Plant Walks on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 9:00 am and 10:30 am.
We are hosting springtime plant walks in March, featuring children’s entertainment and a walk through its famous labyrinth with founder Jackie Woods. The plant walks will be led by herbalist, artist and nature guide June Ellen Bradley, who is also a senior mentor at Green River Preserve Camp.
Woods says “the goal is a connection with nature. A plant walk is one way we can share that with others who also love Mother Earth.” For those too young for the walk, a spring music lesson will be held by Linda Powell, a trained musician and a teacher who previously used music, stories and imagery to work with inner-city children in Atlanta. After the plant walk, attendees will be treated to a walk through Adawehi’s labyrinth with Woods, where she will give a brief introduction to the importance and value of the labyrinth, and answer any questions guests may have. Woods hopes the experience will lead to the community getting to know Adawehi better.
